Why? Because in my daily life, I am a customer.

Initially written on LinkedIn, in May 2023.

In my work, most of the time, I care mostly about the customer (the end user), and I got into arguments and conflicts with my teams and with clients several times because of this.

Why? Because in my daily life, I am a customer.

As a customer, I am sometimes enraged by being promised something, paying on that basis and then getting something else (over-promise & under-deliver).

As a customer, I am happy when I get exactly what I pay for and delighted when I get a proverbial cherry on top.

As a customer, I am trading the proceeds of my work (money) for something of perceived value (products & services).

In my opinion, we all have certain hardships in our lives and being duped and lied to as customers unnecessarilly adds to that burden and to the disconnect with the world.

But don’t get me wrong, I’m mostly doing it for myself, fueled by both love and hate.
